Before this I always used Odoo 8. No problem to change currency to Malaysian Ringgit (MYR).
It is weird the first time after install Odoo 9 & ecommerce website, I cannot convert to MYR currency.
My default currency is AUD. Previously I used AUD as my default currency because it has "$" sign.
Apparently after searching the internet, came across the idea of a new way to convert currencies and enable Multi Currencies.
These are the methods I used so far:
1) Log in using an administrator account because that is easy to maintain and modified.
2) Go to the Accounting> Configuration> Settings> Accounting & Finance> Features
Click to enable "Allow multi currencies" in the checkbox.
3) Click Apply after that. Page will reload automatically.
4) Go straight on the left sidebar at below. Multi currencies will be displayed. Click "Currencies" then. Automagically all currencies in the world will appeared here.
Search myr in the search box. When you've stumbled upon MYR click the MYR.
Activate MYR currency by clicking on the checkbox activate. And do not forget to click Save.
5) Once it is done, go to Sales> Configuration> Pricelist> Pricelists.
Click "Create" to create a new Pricelist.
Put any new pricelist name, eg Ringgit Malaysia Pricelist.
Select MYR at the Currency. And do not forget press Save.
6) Go to the Sales> Configuration> Pricelists> Website Pricelist to enable the Malaysian Ringgit.
7) Ready. And you can preview after it. No more AUD dollar sign "$".
For Point of sales (POS) as well.
Go to the Point of Sale> Configuration> Point of Sale.
Click on the dropdown and select MYR Pricelist you make before.Save.
Ready and see it.
Finish.
